Dienstagswelt
was a weekly event series presenting a wide range of artists playing strictly electronic music - live and as DJs. Berlin's most recognized elec- tronic music event on a TUESDAY with a nice mixture of local and international audience. We celebrated our partys at RAW.tempel, MIKZ and CASSIOPEIA - located in a former industrial complex in Friedrichshain [S/U Warschauer Str.]. The rough warehouse sites were picking up the rare charme of early rave venues and combining it with the typical Berlin party style & flavor.

Online Bewerbung

Ihr Lieben,

so so...

>> Booking Anfrage

Dear friends of the Dienstagswelt,

we thought it might be a good idea to framework your creative talents with some friendly advices about content and form of a proper booking request. Maybe you are able to keep the one or other hint in mind when applying for a live-/ dj slot...

(1) Please send an email to booking [at] dienstagswelt.de. Your mail will than be forwarded automatically to all our bookers. This helps to save time and to avoid communication gaps. Also we like to keep the history of our communication as a band-aid for the holes in our collective memory.

(2) Please tell us (in a few (!) sentences - no short story necessary...) some relevant aspects of your contemporary activities. Where have you been playing within the last couple of months? Where did you release and which other musical activities should we have heard about? Please don't start on your 8th birthay when your parents bought you the first record player... Also we would like to know, what your favorite subgenres and styles are. We already know that you are interested in electronic music and infected by techno, house and/or minimal tunes. What else - more specific - can you tell us about your musical taste? What do you think is special about your sound?

(3) Please add one, two, three... links to up-to-date mixes and/ or livecuts. Don't send mp3s! Soundcloud is a brilliant site for DJs and producers wich are on a serious trail. Maybe it's worth spending some small money on a proper account? In the end we don't care where your files are hostet - as long as there is easy and constant access. For producers it might also be important, that we do have a strong interest in livecuts additional to your releases. A well-produced studio track is nice - but unfortunately it doesn't tell much about your live abilities. For DJ requests it would be good to know, if you're performing on vinyl, CDs, timecode/Laptop or other technical standards.

(4) Please add a full set of contact information to your email incl. further links to sites wich carry some additional information about you and your activities. Please be more specific than simply letting us know, that we might find you on last.fm.

That's it for the moment. Don't be shy just because you have only a short list of booking so far. We are more interested in style, sound and technical abilities. Usually we don't have any serious difficulties to fill our prime time slots - but for an interesting live act we might skake the timetable a bit. Also for the beginning and the end we're often interested in creative minds offering something off the beaten tracks. So if you think you can breathe the air on planet Dienstagswelt - just let us know!

Yours Dienstagswelt
